My favorite part of this app is the download feature which allows you to download shows and movies to your device to watch later. There are some downsides to it of course. You can't download everything on Netflix, only certain content, and there are download limits on some of the things you can download. Otherwise it works great and is a terrific legal way to watch this stuff without being forced to stream everything all the time. Download some shows and take it on the go. :) Full Review

BRING BACK THE 5 STAR RATING SYSTEM. I don't need percentages based on what I may or may not like. Example: What a 4 star is to me, may be a 2 to someone else. NO NUANCE. TOO POLARIZING. Thumbs up or down? . . it's not Facebook. I don't want to "thumbs up" something that's decent, but not great- vice versa, I don't want to "thumb down" something that's ok, but not my thing. Bring back the 5 star. I've seen movies that I LOVED that only had 68% compatibility based from the algorithmic application. 5 STAR RATING. . . Bring it back, pretty please. Previous versions were great. Bring back the fast forward / rewind 10s buttons and I will increase my rating... so annoying to use without these buttons. Further suggestions: 1) Provide option to remove a program from the continue watching list. 2) Improve the suggestion system based off of previous reviews. This doesn't seem to work well at present. 3) Make programs more easily findable. Takes forever to find something to watch. Some good movies / series are on here but usually hard to find them. Forget bug fixes, this app is one big bug. I only signed up to Netflix 24 hours ago and so far have had to reinstall this app 4 times because it won't open or play anything. I think we're getting screwed to be honest. The app is fine. It works good on android tv and overall Netflix isn't to shabby. However, in South Africa the content is extremely limited to Netflix content in other nations. I have friends all over the world, and in SA we are definitely not seeing close to the same content than what they are. I can't see Netflix, with what they have now, keeping me entertained for much longer. Plus it seems slightly unfair that I'm paying the same subscription but not getting the same content. Full Review

What happened? I took a brief hiatus from Netflix because of uni commitments and when I come back nothing loads properly. The sound appears to run correctly but the video freezes up right at the start, leaving just a black screen, and if it does come back it is only briefly until again the video freezes as the sound keeps playing. This app used to run great but now I can't watch anything! Full Review

Removing classics while I'm watching them? Why has this happened to me twice now? You removed oceans 11 trilogy and now the godfather trilogy, all while im in the middle of watching!? A recent update, about 30 days ago, made this app drain your battery and iverheat your cpu. Might just be a marshmallow issue but i had to unstall because the battery was drained so quickly. The app starts itself so stopping it does nothing. Maybe netflix started bitcoin mining off us... Fix this netflix!! Full Review

For the high monthly fee I expect a perfect app. No hyper links in the very limited descriptions (compare with web version), many originally English productions miss English subtitles, some productions miss original sound (I hate dubbing). NETFLIX is the best value for commercial free content. The interface has always been lacking but is not wholly inadequate. This should be your 1st choice for a paid subscription service though you will eventually want others in addition, but be warned, all others I subscribe ($$) have adverts or lack full season content for premium shows. 8/10 value for money whereas others max out at 5/10. Every time I try to watch Netflix it shuts down my entire phone over and over. I even tried fixing it by getting the system update but it still doesn't work. I didn't even get to start the episode before my phone restarted itself. I just want to watch twilight zone without being interrupted. When Chromecasting with versions 5.15, 5.14 or 5.13 from a Nexus 5, CPU usage is extremely high resulting in overheating and massive battery drain. This bug does not occur in versions 5.12 and earlier. I'm not the only one reporting this issue. How long before you fix this? Full Review

Netflix has failed to address the battery drainage issue for awhile now and I have to constantly force the app to stop throughout the day. It runs in the background even if I restart the phone and never open the app. Netflix also has terrible search UI. It is easier to just use the search bar than to scroll through the sections. As a Netflix user for over 10 years what has been done to this app is a shame. It's almost impossabe to find what I was watching or something I saw the last time I opened it. The big problem is on all 3 of our devices it suddenly has started running 100% in the background. This brings my Nexus battery draw from 220mh to over 550ma. It's enough to have no battery left after 5 hours or less of non use. The only workaround I've found is uninstall it. Force close works for a while but even then it restarts this behaviour. We use Netflix as our only TV and movie source but to keep paying for a service that makes our phones unuseable is getting to be a problem Full Review

The app works fine on my phone and I love it. The problem is with my tablet. The app continuously crashes on my tablet, it won't even open. Which is a problem because the stuff I have downloaded for offline watching is on my tablet. I know I have an older tablet, but come on. honestly netflix is really good and i enjoy spending every waking moment on there. it's very easy to watch all of my favourite shows and what not; however, i think a lot of people would really appreciate it if you got more popular and classic movies, for example, harry potter. i also understand that sometimes this isn't possible but please do try. Worse than I originally realized this app will kill your battery for days after being started. To prevent it from killing your battery you have to restart your device or go into settings to force stop the app. In my opinion disgraceful. Edit: What are you using all the extra power for cryptomining? Seriously why hasn't this been fixed? At least make a statement as to why your app is draining my battery when I have the app closed. I think the app is well constructed. The service is the issue. They are jettisoning excellent programs left and right while pushing their own homade crap. Sure they make good stuff now and again but it was only worth it when I didn't have to pay for another service (Hulu in my case) just to continue watching the stuff I watch time and again. They have a decent amount of movies and TV shows that I really enjoy watching, HOWEVER the reason I'm only giving this one star is that most of the time the quality is really bad, everything is fuzzy and you can see the pixels. I already adjusted all the settings to high quality, I have good internet connection (the router is in my room and I'm the only one using it) and I'm watching on a new, well-functioning device. I think for a paid provider this is very low. I wish there was a way to solve this, I already tried everything the official Netflix article on the internet has to say about this and it didn't help. Works well and casting is no longer broken, the only thing that annoys me is that the interface doesn't support gamepads so when I have my Shield tablet in console mode it is a real pain to navigate. I think Netflix used to work with gamepads so I don't understand why they changed it. Full Review

I love the app, the only thing I can recommend is that when watch a TV series and getting the prompt at the end to select the next episode. I frequently touch the app at the same time the prompt comes up and when bringing up the UI again the prompt is no longer there and you have to select series and the select show. Full Review

The app is missing two basic functionalities the first one is to remove any video from "continue watching" section and other is to seek forward option while video is playing. It has a scarcity of Indian contents. Major cons- It doesn't have an option to filter or categorise contents based on movies or/and TV series. Full Review

Apparently this app runs even after I force it to stop, and once a day I get an error message that says "Unfortunately Netflix has stopped working.". As soon as I see this I'm like "Why were you even running in the first place?". I have had this app for a month and never once started it. So it shouldn't be sending me these messages. The last couple of updates have DRAMATICALLY increased battery consumption when casting. Not too long ago my phone would lose 2-3% for every hour watched. Now, at least 20% for every hour is the norm. Whatever was changed needs to be changed back. Full Review

Just downloaded the new update was hoping it fixed my green screen problem it fixed that because now it won't load any content. Just hit the latest update 3/15/18 and still green screen on the s8 active can wet please fix this. Later in the day Samsung sent out a system update which fixed the problem. Full Review

I really like the fact that you decide what to watch and when to watch it with your family. Also there's no advertising interrupting the shows. Programs change depending on your country but still very lot of choices of tv shows, movies, cartoons, documentaries, foreign programs available too. Subtitles and language should be adjusted on the needs of the viewer. Also some shows only have English sound and subtitles what for those who doesn't understand English. Definitely bring back the 5***** stars mode it was better. Give a better idea of the appreciation and compatibility with your taste. Good labels to organize your tv shows list, watching, interested in shows, etc more than 1 person can be watching depending of the package you're paying for otherwise it shuts down. I noticed sometimes it bugs while watching specific tv show on broadcast, need to close the app and restart annoying but doesn't happen that often. Please make more programs available; let's say in MÃ©xico and Dominican Republic had Flash, black orphan and el Chavo but weren't available in Canada Full Review

Really it sucks. There's nothing good and when there actually is something good, they remove it. The choices suck. You have Scream 3, but not 1, 2, 4, or 5? Then why have 3 at all? It's all new TV shows and movies, none of the old classics. All the new stuff is too political and too liberal. Netflix SUCKS. Full Review
